Ryan Brothers Ambulance Celebrates 50 Years

Ryan Brothers Ambulance co-owners Patrick and Erin Ryan surprised their 71-year-old father, Pat, Monday with a commemorative ambulance at the family business at 922 S. Park St.  The elder Pat Ryan, founded the company in 1962 with his brother Paul, who died in 1994.  The 50th anniversary ambulance features photos of an older-model vehicle as well as the two founders from younger days.  It is the 18th ambulance in the fleet of the company, which has a total of seven stations in three different counties.  The current owners took over from their father in 2004, but he still comes into the office three days a week, according to a news release.

The ambulance will mark the 50th anniversary of Ryan Brothers Ambulance, which was started by Pat Ryan and his brother, Paul Ryan in 1962.
