Dr. John Yost, MD
Dr. John Yost, MD is a well-respected, long-time member of the Madison medical community and an Emergency Department physician at Meriter Hospital for 30 years. Dr. Yost is integrally involved with RBA’s Quality Assurance Committee, overseeing our extensive Quality Assurance (QA) process and in-house training program provided for our employees.
Graduate of University of Wisconsin School of Medicine
Served his residency and internship at SSM St. Mary’s Hospital Madison
Board Certified member of the American College of Emergency Physicians
Licensed Physician in Wisconsin since 1981
Veteran of the United States Army — Served in Korea from 1967 to 1969
American Board of Emergency Medicine, certified through December 31, 2029
Dr. Yost has served as medical director for Ryan Brothers Ambulance for over 30 years and serves in a very active role at RBA. He reviews calls every day and participates in monthly trainings and our bi-annual advanced skills re-certification. Dr. Yost knows there is more than one way to treat a health condition and continues to pursue cutting-edge treatment protocols for his EMS field providers. He embraces collaboration and healthy discussions regarding quality improvement. Dr. Yost makes himself readily available to our staff for questions, guidance, and leadership making him an invaluable asset to our Emergency Service Team.
